Dr Claire Lantai
Currimundi Family Doctors is excited to welcome Dr Claire, joining our team as of the 28th March 2017!
Dr Claire graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane and has worked at the Gold Coast Hospital, Townsville General Hospital & Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane before moving into General Practice.
Dr Claire was successful in achieving a Paediatric training position at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane and spent 3 years working in before becoming a General Practitioner.
After obtaining her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) in 2006, she and her family moved to the Sunshine Coast where she has worked since.
With her Paediatric training, Dr Claire’s main focus at Currimundi Family Doctors will be in helping children especially children with special needs. She is passionate in helping children with high needs, children with developmental, learning and behavioural issues. Dr Claire works closely with Paediatricians to continue her professional development and stay on trend with the latest treatments for special needs children.
Dr Claire will be participating in the General Practice Special Interest (GPSI – Paediatric) clinic for Currimundi Family Doctors in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Primary Health Network Central Queensland, Wide Bay & Sunshine Coast. This well awaited service aims to streamline and co-ordinate care of high needs children with developmental, learning and behavioural issues between their GP, Paediatricians, Allied Health professionals and other support services.
