Dr Scorer brings with him decades of experience in paediatrics and neonatology, along with a genuine passion for children’s health and family-centred care.

Dr Scorer completed his medical degree at the University of Pretoria, South Africa and undertook his specialist paediatric training through the University of Stellenbosch, qualifying with a Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and Fellowship of the College of Physicians of South Africa. He later went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dr Scorer’s career has spanned South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand and Australia. His experience includes work as a Consultant Neonatologist in a high-level neonatal intensive care unit, and as a Consultant Paediatrician across both public and private hospital settings. Since settling on the Sunshine Coast in 2006, he has provided care through Sunshine Coast Paediatrics, Buderim Private Hospital and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Dr Scorer has a broad range of clinical interests including:

• Neonatology and newborn care
• Paediatric allergy, asthma and immune health
• Learning, developmental and behavioural concerns (including anxiety, ADHD and ASD)
• General paediatrics, growth and puberty concerns
• Gastrointestinal health, bowel microflora and its impact on wellbeing
• Gender dysphoria

Dr Scorer is available for appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday and is now accepting new patients.
