Dr Sarah graduated from University of Queensland in 2012. She then spent the next 7 years working in Brisbane, mainly at The Prince Charles Hospital, gaining further knowledge in a wide variety of medical specialties. Dr Sarah has a wide variety of interests but particularly enjoys the practical aspects of GP where minor procedures are required. She also enjoys the complexity of chronic medical diseases. After travelling the world and then working for a Cancer Organisation for several years she returned to study Medicine at the University of Queensland, joining us as a GP registrar in 2020. Dr Fiona is interested in a variety of areas of medicine including paediatrics, women’s health and endocrinology, and is a Sunshine Coast University Hospital preferred Antenatal Provider. Dr Sandra joined Currimundi Family Doctors upon its opening in 2016. She studied medicine at Pretoria University before working in Psychiatry, Mines Benefit Society & as the Medical Adviser for the Salvation Army. She spent time coordinating income generating activities for Indigenous women and assisted with a home for abandoned babies of HIV positive mothers. Dr Leneham graduated Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland in 2014.  Working in hospitals and general practice, he found a particular interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He now practices exclusively as a skin cancer clinician, focusing on skin cancer detection and removal. He has diagnosed and treated thousands of skin cancers here on the Sunshine Coast. Dr Franco Ambrosio studied medicine and completed his training at the University of Queensland in 1993. He then gained further years of experience as a surgical registrar before settling into skin cancer medicine within General Practice. With his surgical clinical experience, Dr Franco focuses entirely on skin checks and procedures. He has a loyal following and is a well-known and respected skin cancer GP on the Sunshine Coast. Dr Rob Pitt

Paediatrician (MBBS, FRACP)

Dr Pitt trained as a Fellow in emergency  and ambulatory paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital, Boston. On returning to Australia, Dr Pitt was appointed Director of Paediatric Emergency Department, Mater Children’s Hospital and Queensland Injury Surveillance Unit. He then spent 22 years as the Director of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane before moving to the Sunshine Coast. Since 2009, Dr Pitt has been a General Paediatrician at Nambour General Hospital and now at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Currimundi Family Doctors. Visit his page here.
