Dr Bianca Melzner
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Bianca Melzner is an enthusiastic GP with a strong commitment to general practice, driven by a passion for patient relationships and holistic care. Dr Melzner’s clinical experience includes diverse rotations across emergency medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology, and general surgery in both Adelaide and the Sunshine Coast. Dr Melzner is particularly interested in women’s health and palliative care. She aims to promote wellness, disease prevention, and patient empowerment.

Dr Max Mclean
MBBS, BAppSc (ExSc&Nutr.) GP Registrar
Dr Max McLean is a dedicated general practitioner with special interests in preventative health, lifestyle medicine, and sports medicine. He focuses on empowering patients through personalised care, promoting sustainable lifestyle changes, and optimising quality of life. With experience across general medicine, oncology, emergency, and rehabilitation, Dr McLean has worked in diverse settings, including Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Gympie Hospital.

Dr Belynda Walsh
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Belynda Walsh is a dedicated GP who is passionate about improving health outcomes, particularly in underserved communities, and is committed to fostering long-term therapeutic relationships with her patients. Dr Walsh has gained diverse clinical experience in general practice, women’s health, obstetrics and gynaecology, and emergency medicine. She is committed to patient-centered care, encouraging patient engagement and promoting overall well-being.

Dr Emily Cattanach
MD, GP Registrar
Dr Emily Cattanach grew up in Brisbane before moving to Adelaide to undertake a Doctor of Medicine at Flinders University. Following this, she relocated to the Gold Coast in 2018 to undertake medical training. Dr Emily has worked at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Mater Mothers Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital. She brings a well-rounded and contemporary approach to patient care. Dr Emily has a special interest in children’s health and family medicine and warmly welcomes patients with all types of medical concerns. We are very pleased to have Dr Emily rejoin our team and look forward to the care she will provide our community.

Dr Nadia Budiman
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Nadia is a dedicated General Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in medicine. A graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Nadia spent 5 years working as a medical registrar in hospitals across Queensland. During this time, Dr Nadia gained broad experience in wide range of general medicine. Dr Nadia is passionate about delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centered care to individuals and families.

Dr James Pearson
B.Sc, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr James joined our medical team in 2020 as a GP registrar and has been working for the practice ever since. He has an interest in men’s health, skin cancer checks and excisions, and weight loss medicine. Dr James has a passion for teaching and enjoys working with patients to achieve their goals. Dr Manilka Herath
BSc, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Manilka graduated from Medical School in 2009 and has worked in various departments of the hospital since. Dr Kara James
MBBS, FRACGP, Dip Child Health
Dr Kara James is an experienced, dedicated and personable GP. She completed her medical training in Northern and Central Queensland and spent a number of years working in regional hospitals to gain broad experience in all aspects of medicine. Dr Kara enjoys the variety of general practice, however has a particular interest and extra qualifications in women’s and children’s health.

Dr Shen Lu
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Shen Lu is a dedicated Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with a strong focus on holistic patient care. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019, working across Redcliffe and Sunshine Coast for the last few years before transitioning into General Practice. Dr Shen is interested in all areas of medicine, with a particular interest in palliative care, paediatrics and women’s health.

Dr Claire’s focus at Currimundi Family Doctors is in helping children, especially children with special needs. She is passionate in helping with developmental, learning and behavioural issues. Dr Claire works closely with Paediatricians to continue her professional development and stay on trend with the latest treatments for special needs children.

Dr Will McCormack
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Will grew up on a cane farm in Proserpine, North Queensland. He went on to complete his medical studies at James Cook University in Townsville.Dr Will is a highly dedicated GP who places strong value on meaningful, patient-centred consultations. He utilises a structured three-phase consultation approach to ensure each patient receives thorough, efficient, and high-value care. His thoughtful and methodical style helps patients feel heard, informed, and well supported in their health journey.

Dr Katrina Neal
MBBS, Master of Counselling
Dr Katrina Neal is a General Practitioner with over 30 years of experience and a Master’s in Counselling. Dr Neal is experienced in all areas of general medicine and has a special interest in mental well-being. She has a Master’s in Counselling and a Certificate of Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr Jarom Leneham
MBBS, MMed (Skin Cancer), BSc DipEd, FRACGP
Dr Leneham graduated Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland in 2014. Working in hospitals and general practice, he found a particular interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He now practices exclusively as a skin cancer clinician, focusing on skin cancer detection and removal. He has diagnosed and treated thousands of skin cancers here on the Sunshine Coast. Dr Rob Pitt
Paediatrician (MBBS, FRACP)
Dr Pitt trained as a Fellow in emergency and ambulatory paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital, Boston. On returning to Australia, Dr Pitt was appointed Director of Paediatric Emergency Department, Mater Children’s Hospital and Queensland Injury Surveillance Unit. He then spent 22 years as the Director of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane before moving to the Sunshine Coast. Since 2009, Dr Pitt has been a General Paediatrician at Nambour General Hospital and now at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Currimundi Family Doctors. Visit his page here.

Dr James Scorer

Dr Scorer’s career has spanned South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand and Australia. His experience includes work as a Consultant Neonatologist in a high-level neonatal intensive care unit, and as a Consultant Paediatrician across both public and private hospital settings. Since settling on the Sunshine Coast in 2006, he has provided care through Sunshine Coast Paediatrics, Buderim Private Hospital and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
