Dr Franco Ambrosio studied medicine and completed his training at the University of Queensland in 1993. He then gained further years of experience as a surgical registrar before settling into skin cancer medicine within General Practice. With his surgical clinical experience, Dr Franco focuses entirely on skin checks and procedures. He has a loyal following and is a well-known and respected skin cancer GP on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Franco has over 20 years’ experience in the practice of early detection and treatment of skin cancers. Our custom-built procedural theatres and state of the art equipment allow him the best environment to diagnose and treat skin cancers.

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding Dr. Franco Ambrosio’s health and availability.
After the last year of managing a persistent back injury, Dr. Ambrosio has unfortunately been advised to take extended time off to allow for proper healing and recovery. Despite his dedication to continuing to provide care during this time, the injury has not improved to the point where he can safely resume his medical practice. After careful consideration, Dr. Ambrosio has made the decision to take an indefinite medical leave in order to focus on his recovery.
We understand this may be concerning, and we want to assure you that your care remains our top priority. To ensure that you continue to receive the medical attention you need, we are pleased to inform you that Dr. Jarom Leneham, Dr. James Pearson, and Dr. Mankul Singh have kindly made themselves available for appointments in the interim. These experienced physicians have additional training and experience in skin procedures and have access to Dr Franco’s patient records. The doctors have worked alongside Dr Franco for years and are committed to providing you with the same level of attentive care that you’ve come to expect from our practice.
