as of January 2022, Dr Collins has relocated clinics to meet the requirements of achieving fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

Dr Lauren Collins studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at University of the Sunshine Coast and Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Dr Collins grew up in Zimbabwe before moving to the Sunshine Coast. Prior to settling into general practice at Currimundi Family Doctors in 2021, she worked in the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service including Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour Hospital and Gympie Hospital. 

Dr Collins enjoys all areas of general practice however has particular interests in lifestyle medicine, health promotion and disease prevention and chronic disease management. 

She lives with her husband and dog and enjoys going to the beach, reading, mountain walking and spending time with her family in her spare time.
