Dr Sarah Caporale is transitioning away from GP into Mental Health work at the hospital, she is no longer working as a GP. We are very sad to see her go and wish her the best on her new adventure.

Dr Sarah Caporale completed a Bachelor of Science followed by Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2012. She then spent the next 7 years working in Brisbane, mainly at The Prince Charles Hospital, but was also seconded for short periods to Redcliffe, Caboolture, Mackay and Rockhampton, gaining further knowledge in a wide variety of medical specialties.

In 2019 she decided to change fields and complete General Practice specialty training, which has been immensely rewarding and enjoyable. Her training time was split between Hervey Bay and the Sunshine Coast. To further her knowledge, she has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Dr Sarah has a wide variety of interests but particularly enjoys the practical aspects of GP where minor procedures are required. She also enjoys the complexity of chronic medical diseases.
